That’s impressive, STMicroelectronics: Thanks for sharing with us!

Within the framework of the FED4SAE Horizon 2020 project, Energica Motor Company has risen to the completely new challenge of electric motorcycle racing. They have developed a remote and Low Power electric vehicle (EV) Remote Battery Monitor System based on our STM32L462 microcontrollers combined with #LORA Murata’s RF module integrating our STM32L082 ultra-low power MCU. The system records key battery data, including voltage, temperature and state of charge while following the battery charging process in the paddock of the #FIM MotoE #WorldCup.

The system was first tested at races in Valencia in 2019 and was subsequently introduced on a permanent basis from the 2020 season onwards. Currently the EVBMS is used by Energica to observe the health status of all Ego Corsa motorcycles engaged in the #MotoE World Cup, including when they are transported from one circuit to another during the racing season.
