The 1st Prize was awarded to Protolab for their innovative approach to address scoliosis treatment with a digital and sensor approach, congratulation to Piero Schiavuta. Beyond the technical challenge, the jury members were very happy to see that smart technology can contribute to improve people life and improve a rather standard treatment procedure. The 2nd prize went to Maria Bulgheroni from Ab-Acus for the very promising tele-rehabilitation solutions they have developed. Learn more about Ab-Acus!

Success Stories* of Application Experiment Projects
In Phase 1 and 2, more than 200 Application Experiments (AEs) involving partners from 25 countries with a total of more than 18 Million Euro have been funded in the Technology Areas “Customised Low Energy Computing powering Cyber-Physical Systems and the Internet of Things”, “Cyber-physical and embedded systems”, “Flexible and wearable electronics/Organic Large Area Electronics” as well as “Advanced Computing” and “Smart Systems Integration”.
