The AI REGIO H2020 Innovation Action is building and developing a Network of “AI for Manufacturing” Didactic Factories (DFs), which could also be considered a Precursor Network for the coming “AI TEF for Manufacturing” call in EC Digital Europe Programme (DEP). The final aim of the initiative is to create an ecosystem of DFs built on common principles, values, open standards and semantic interoperability frameworks in order to seamlessly share FAIR (Findable Accessible Interoperable Reusable) Datasets, Advanced “Software as a Service” assets and Human-to-Machine remote experiences in TERESA (TEchnology and REgulatory SAndboxes) experiments.

AI REGIO is inviting stakeholders to the Kick-Off Meeting of the AI REGIO Network of Didactic Factories taking place on 3rd of September, 2021 (10:00-16:00 CEST) to discuss the aforementioned findings, characterise an AI REGIO Didactic Factory from its services setting, and to create a benchmark for a potential ecosystem and community of pan-EU Didactic Factories. In the morning session, the initiative will be introduced and some of the existing DFs presented in more detail. In the afternoon, AI REGIO is collecting expressions of interest (5′ pitches) from external projects / communities to join the network and to contribute to the success of the initiative.
