Within the framework of the FED4SAE Horizon 2020 project, Safecility has developed an Emergency Lighting Controller.
ST supported Safecility to build the initial prototype, perform the preliminary tests and define the final miniaturized production unit using our B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and STM32F4 microcontroller boards. The wireless open and interoperable lighting controller is based on our FED4SAE #STM32 platform and embeds a full Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) EN62386-202 stack.
Safecility has created an automated inspection and maintenance solution with a small sensor that is easily installed into DALI-enabled lights. It makes the whole system smart without the need for cabling, containment, or IP-based local network access. The installation of this solution reduces technician visits by 90%, streams test results to the cloud, and improves documentation, data integrity and compliance.
Congratulations to Safecility for several successful trials, including Vivid Homes and Limerick Council as well as for being shortlisted by LUX for the Lux Awards 2020 Emergency Lighting Product of the Year.
